Big action in Nirav Modi Money Laundering Case, assets worth more than Rs 253 crore attached

Nirav Modi Money Laundering Case: Enforcement Directorate has taken major action against fugitive diamond trader Nirav Modi today. ED has attached Nirav Modi’s assets worth Rs 253 crore.

The attached assets include jewellery and money stashed in banks. Let us inform that Nirav Modi has been on the radar of ED for a long time in the case of money laundering.

Nirav Modi’s property attached by ED is in Hong Kong.

The case of money laundering along with fraud is going on against diamond merchants Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi.

The ED is probing the money laundering case while the CBI is probing the fraud case. On the other hand Nirav Modi is currently lodged in a UK jail.

So far Nirav Modi’s assets worth 2650 crores have been attached-

With the assets attached today of Nirav Modi, his total assets seized so far have gone up to 2650.07 crores.

The investigating agency said that some assets of Nirav Modi’s company were in Hong Kong during the investigation.

After which the ED investigated the properties of Nirav Modi.

This property of Nirav Modi in Hong Kong was in the form of jewelery and money kept in banks. Attached today.

Case of embezzlement of 14 thousand crore rupees loan of PNB-

Nirav Modi is accused of embezzling Punjab National Bank’s loan of about 14 thousand crore rupees.

When this matter came to light, Nirav Modi had fled the country. After which he was declared a fugitive.

Nirav is currently lodged in a UK jail, where he is facing trial for extradition to India.

Nirav Modi has lost in this case.
